The time approacheth… Thanksgiving.

Things we’re thankful for at Good Life Farm… The sound of young Turkeys on fresh pastures (dlweep dwleep!!).  Dogs stretching out for a nap in the late Fall sun.  Horses grazing in the first early morning snow flurries.  Our Beloved Crew, who are literally the Life Blood of all we do.  Clean water,  clean air, and our communities passion to defend them.  Unexpected humor when its most needed.  Sunlight at the end of a cloudy day (that would be today). Our family. And your families. Our amazing experience with selling so much of our fruit right to you all!  Since our September newsletter we continued on, ending on Halloween with apples.  We are so looking forward to working more with you all over the coming years…

This November has had its own new level of complexity as we had cider to press, a Town Board election in the family, an unusually long and warm fall and general abundance.  Especially in the case of the orchard, we are blessed with the absolute bounty of the year- no late spring frosts, good water all summer from the SKY, and late fall frosts.  We see our neighborhood trees loaded to the ground, and we harvest our own first fruit with glee.  We hear tales of bushels left of the ground long after all harvest records are surpassed, and we press for cider to the point of running out of vessels to hold the essence of fall... apple juice.  Ahhhhhh.....

We also see that times are tumulutous, ever-changing and our communities shift.  We hope for the best for our friends and family as the holiday season kicks off, and trust that we will each find grace at this year's Thanksgiving table.
