Summer is a more mellow time on the farm, with production dropping in July and August, and only starting to pick up now. Thanks to a trade with our Amish neighbors we got all of our winter hay in, and now we’re stockpiling grass for winter grazing. As far as produce goes, we’ll be shipping hot peppers, ginger, turmeric, greens, herbs, cabbage, tomatillos, brussels sprouts over the next 3 months, with our Fall peak not coming until November! Liz and I are looking forward to selling our joint produce at Thanksgiving turkey pickup. Details will follow this fall.
